Louvre & Les Halles — Shopping in Central Paris

At the heart of the 1st Arrondissement, the area between the Louvre and Les Halles combines some of central Paris’s busiest shopping streets with department stores, major international brands, independent shops, restaurants and world-famous cultural landmarks. Its central position makes it particularly easy to combine shopping with sightseeing on foot.

Around Les Halles, the large Westfield Forum des Halles shopping centre brings together fashion, beauty, sportswear, accessories and everyday retail, while the surrounding streets extend the shopping area towards Rue de Rivoli, Rue Étienne Marcel and Montorgueil. Cafés, restaurants, food shops and smaller boutiques create a very different experience once you step away from the shopping centre itself.

Follow Rue de Rivoli west towards the Louvre and the character changes again. La Samaritaine, close to the Seine, adds luxury fashion, beauty and design, while the streets around the Louvre and Palais Royal connect shopping with galleries, historic arcades, gardens, restaurants and cultural landmarks.

Explore Louvre & Les Halles with TLC Paris for fashion, department stores, beauty, food, restaurants and culture — using this central district to move easily between Les Halles, Montorgueil, the Louvre, Palais Royal and the Seine.
