Boulevard Haussmann
One of the great boulevards of Paris, Boulevard Haussmann stretches across the Right Bank through the 8th and 9th arrondissements, combining monumental Haussmann architecture with some of the city’s most famous shopping and cultural addresses. It is best known for the historic Grands Magasins — Galeries Lafayette Haussmann and Printemps Haussmann — two landmarks of Parisian fashion, beauty, luxury and department-store culture.
Continue west and the boulevard gradually changes character, moving from the energy of the Opéra shopping district towards elegant hotels, offices, restaurants and the grand residential architecture of the 8th Arrondissement. Along the way, discover the Musée Jacquemart-André, housed in a magnificent 19th-century private mansion, while Parc Monceau and the Musée Nissim de Camondo are within easy reach.
Beyond the boulevard itself, explore the surrounding streets towards Palais Garnier and the Grands Boulevards at one end, or continue towards Parc Monceau, Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and the Champs-Élysées further west.
