Rue Oberkampf
One of the best-known streets for nightlife in the 11th Arrondissement, Rue Oberkampf combines restaurants, bars, live music, cafés and independent addresses with the energetic neighbourhood atmosphere of East Paris. Running from the area around République and Parmentier towards Ménilmontant, the street changes character as it climbs east.
By day, explore coffee shops, neighbourhood restaurants, bakeries, independent boutiques and the surrounding side streets. In the evening, Oberkampf becomes livelier as its cocktail bars, wine bars, music venues and late-night addresses fill up, making it one of the 11th Arrondissement’s established destinations for going out.
Continue into the streets around Parmentier and Ménilmontant for more restaurants and local nightlife, or head back towards Place de la République for easy connections to Canal Saint-Martin and the Marais.
