Conceived as a countryside house in the middle of Paris, it moves through different moods during the day — from brunch and lunch surrounded by greenery to drinks on the terraces, dinner, music and increasingly festive evenings.
The restaurant follows a flexitarian approach with vegetables and seasonal produce at the centre of the kitchen, sourced in France and through short supply chains whenever possible. Lunch is built around small plates that can be shared, while dinner introduces a changing seasonal menu with vegetarian dishes alongside fish and meat. As evening arrives, the lights are lowered, the music gradually rises and Ora shifts from relaxed park restaurant to a livelier place for dinner, drinks, dancing and late evenings.
The setting is a large part of the experience. Upstairs, La Serre is wrapped in glass with views across Buttes-Chaumont, while La Verrière downstairs has its own exuberant floral bar. Terraces surround the building at different levels, and outside, La Guinguette offers a more casual stop for drinks and seasonal snacks. There is even a hidden karaoke room under the roof, while the Ora Social Club brings workshops, comedy, music, games and other events into the programme throughout the year.
This makes Ora particularly easy to adapt to the day you are planning. For a longer day in the 19th arrondissement, continue toward Parc de la Villette, the Philharmonie de Paris or the waterside paths around Bassin de la Villette.
