Cédric Grolet, one of the most celebrated pâtissiers of his generation, has transformed the world of contemporary pastry with creations that blend haute cuisine, sculpture, and visual illusion. Born in Firminy in 1985, Grolet rose to international acclaim as the executive pastry chef at the palace hotel Le Meurice—a landmark on Rue de Castiglione, steps from the Tuileries Garden, Place Vendôme, and the luxury boutiques of Rue Saint-Honoré.

Grolet is best known for his hyper-realistic fruit pastries, meticulously crafted to mirror lemons, apples, figs, and seasonal produce with astonishing precision. Each piece is made from a thin, hand-airbrushed white-chocolate shell that captures the color and texture of natural fruit, filled with layered creams, compotes, and textures that reveal his mastery of flavor and craftsmanship. These desserts have become synonymous with the new wave of artistic French pâtisserie.

In 2018, he opened his first boutique inside Le Meurice, offering guests staying near the Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries, and Place de la Concorde an intimate way to experience his creations. The second address, Cédric Grolet Opéra, opened in 2019 on Avenue de l’Opéra, connecting his work to the vibrant district surrounding Palais Garnier, Boulevard des Capucines, and the elegant jewelry houses of Rue de la Paix. A third space, his café on Rue Danielle Casanova, sits between Place Vendôme and the Opéra district—an ideal stop for visitors exploring Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the luxury arcades of Galerie Vivienne, and the historic passages of the 2nd Arrondissement.

His accolades include Best Pastry Chef of the Year (Le Chef Magazine, 2015) and World’s Best Pastry Chef (The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, 2018).
