Covering more than 50 hectares in the 19ᵗʰ arrondissement, Parc de la Villette is one of Paris's largest cultural and recreational parks, where contemporary architecture, canals, gardens and entertainment come together. Along the Canal de l'Ourcq, visitors can discover the spectacular Philharmonie de Paris, the interactive Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie, the giant-screen cinema La Géode, and renowned music venues including Zénith Paris, Le Trabendo, Cabaret Sauvage and Glazart.

La Villette is especially popular with families, offering everything from hands-on science exhibitions and the historic Argonaute submarine to playgrounds, picnic lawns and the children's cultural centre Little Villette. Adventurous visitors can even experience indoor skydiving at iFLY Paris, making the park one of the most varied family destinations in the capital.

Beyond its cultural attractions, the park is one of Paris's favourite outdoor spaces for jogging, cycling and relaxing beside the Canal de l'Ourcq. Visitors can rent small electric boats, enjoy seasonal swimming areas with bathing pontoons, ride horses at the nearby Centre Équestre de la Villette, or simply spend the afternoon on the expansive lawns and landscaped gardens. During summer, the famous Cinéma en Plein Air transforms the park into one of the city's most popular outdoor cinemas.

The neighbourhood has also become one of eastern Paris's most exciting food and nightlife destinations. The rooftop terrace at Café Oz Rooftop offers panoramic views across the Seine, while nearby venues such as Boom Boom Villette, floating bars along the canal and independent cafés create a lively atmosphere from afternoon until late evening.

For one of Paris's finest panoramic viewpoints, visitors can take the rooftop walkway of the Philharmonie de Paris, where sweeping views extend across the city skyline. Whether you're attending a concert, exploring world-class museums, enjoying a picnic or simply watching life along the canal, Parc de la Villette offers a modern, creative and surprisingly green side of Paris that many visitors never discover.
