La Bellevilloise has a history stretching back to 1877, when it was founded as a workers' cooperative.

Over time, the site became associated with education, political discussion, cultural exchange and community life.

Reopened as a cultural and social venue in 2006, it continues to reflect that original spirit: bringing people together around ideas, music, creativity and shared experiences.

Its surroundings are part of the appeal. Ménilmontant and Belleville have long attracted artists, musicians and people looking for a more independent side of Paris.
