Grand Palais
After Dark

A Parisian monument made for extraordinary encounters. From its legendary glass nave to major exhibitions and exceptional evening events, the Grand Palais turns architecture into an experience.

A landmark since 1900

Where Paris becomes a stage

Built for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, the Grand Palais stands between the Champs-Élysées and the Seine as one of the city’s defining architectural landmarks.

Its immense glass-and-steel nave, classical façades and extraordinary scale have made it a home for ambitious exhibitions, international art fairs, performances and unforgettable cultural moments.

By night, selected programmes reveal another side of the monument: dramatic lighting, extraordinary installations and a Parisian sense of occasion.

Created for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, the Grand Palais brings together monumental stone façades and an extraordinary structure of iron and glass. After an extensive restoration, it has returned to the centre of Parisian cultural life.

Its history spans exhibitions, artistic experiments, fashion presentations and international gatherings.

Architecture, Glass Roof & Monument Tours

The immense glass-roofed Nef is one of the most spectacular interiors in Paris. The scale, daylight, structural ironwork and historic detailing make the building an attraction in its own right.
